The core features of the PPASS system are:

🗂️

Comprehensive overview and
Pupil Management for SENCOs

As a SENCO you need to manage data for many different groups of identified children, track the outcomes of provisions put in place for them as well as monitoring targets and reporting on costs.

PPASS allows you to easily manage all of this in one place and as the SENCO you can choose the level of access each class teacher has for updating learning plans and outcomes of interventions.

🧑‍🎓

Pupil Passport Profile

This is what we call our ‘one page view’ of who the pupil is, how they would describe themselves and what physical adaptations and teaching requirements they may have.

This is to capture the child’s voice in terms of their strengths, areas of need and how adults can best support them. It shoes what Quality First Teaching they benefit from and any other adaptations needed in the school setting.

🎯

Adaptable Targets

PPASS helps with the Graduated Approach (Assess, Plan, Do, Review) as outlined in the SEND Code of Practice. Children are assessed, targets set, interventions outlined and costed and their outcomes tracked. Next steps can then also be set.

PPASS helps workload for staff by providing a database of targets for different areas of need as well as the ability to create your own.

🌐

Simple Provision Mapping

The provision of interventions is a core element of the SENCO role, and PPASS makes this easier by providing a framework where you can construct your own range of interventions with associated hourly costings.

Interventions can be allocated to each pupil, costed and tracked half termly/termly, for easy management.

📊

Integrated Outcome
Management

The various targets and interventions applied to each pupil are measured with outcomes being recorded by staff.

💯

Instant Pupil Reports

Known by various names such as IEP’s, Learning Plans, Personal Support Plans or Pupil Passports, these reports detail the termly cycle of the Graduated Approach.

These include the pupils profile, targets, interventions and outcomes and can be used for internal management, shared with parents or used as evidence for additional support.

🎒

Nursery Assessment Tool

An assessment framework for children aged 0-48 months which allows you to track over time Communication and Language, Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED) and Physical Development.

At a glance, school staff can see if a child is Emerging, Developing or Secure across a range of assessment areas.

⏱️

Saving Time and Managing Workload

The recruitment and retention of teaching staff is a serious issue throughout the UK, and one of the major areas identified by the EEF as a meaningful whole school intervention would be one that addressed staff workload.

PPASS removes the requirement for paperwork, complex excel spreadsheets, manual working and chasing of staff members to minimise the time required to maximise the provision supplied.

Saving time and boosting effectiveness

Using PPASS to manage your SEN Provision means spending less time using word and excel, writing individual plans, gathering evidence on the Graduated Approach and on calculating costings for ECH Needs Assessments and more time focusing on the improvement and quality of your SEN provision across your school.

Does the system accommodate SEN pupils with more complex needs?

We do have flexibility for adding personalised learning pathways for specific requirements not otherwise covered by the system. Please contact us to discuss this in more detail.

Is technical support available for users of the system?
